Roly Poly Pangolin

What the heck is a pangolin? Pangolins are also sometimes called scaly anteaters, which pretty much sums it up. They live in tropical parts of Asia and Africa. And yes, I looked that up on Google just now.

Roly Poly Pangolin doesn't actually address what a pangolin is, but there's a fact sheet at the back of the book, if you or your child is interested.

In the story, Roly Poly is afraid of anything new. He rolls up tight anytime he gets scared. Until he finally discovers that the world is much less scary when you have a friend. Kind of sweet, huh?

This is a predictable book, which means it repeats certain phrases and is great for reading aloud to pre-readers. It's also a good story for addressing fears and shyness. Little Boy is pretty shy, but I let him mull this one over himself a little bit; we'll discuss it when we read it again.
