Cat Secrets

Cat Secrets
Spoiler alert: There are no actual cat secrets in this book.

I know. I was disappointed, too.

But it turns out that Cat Secrets is actually a really fun book to read aloud, especially for littler kids. The book starts with three (adorable) cats, who are explaining to you that the book they are holding is for CATS ONLY. Because it's full of cat secrets. You keep reading, of course, and they catch on that you are probably not a cat. So they ask you to prove your cat-ness by doing some catty things--meowing, purring, that kind of thing. I won't spoil the ending, but it's pretty funny. And The Boy and I had a good time meowing and whatnot.

Full disclosure: I don't receive any compensation for reviewing children's books--I usually just get them at the local library.

  1. Gotta give you kudos for slogging through some of those children's books. My kids are grown now but I would find myself editing the books as I read them to my kids - they were that abysmal. Granted there are some good reads out there, but there is a whole lotta bad ...
